The synopsis for the original horror feature:
A woman’s desperate search for her long-lost sister, a famous YouTuber who investigated paranormal happenings, falls into obsession upon realizing that the imaginary demon from their childhood may have been real.
NEON picked up the film last summer and hails from newcomer writer/director Chris Struckmann, a notable critic/YouTuber who reviews movies on his channel, and the new project lists horror guru Mike Flanagan (“Life of Chuck,” “Doctor Sleep”) as an executive producer and has a score from The Newton Brothers (“X-Men ’97,” “Daredevil: Born Again”).
Struckmann launched a solid Kickstarter campaign in 2022 that was able to raise an impressive $1.39 million (according to Deadline, when NEON acquired it), said to be the largest amount put together for a horror project on the crowdfunding platform, and moved quickly into production as cameras started rolling in May 2022.
