Naomi Not Medically Cleared To Compete On WWE RAW

Naomi was scheduled to defend her title on this week’s episode of RAW, but that match looks to be off.

Naomi, the current WWE Women’s World Champion, was set to defend her title against IYO SKY on WWE RAW. The match was more than just a title shot for IYO, who Naomi cashed in on to win the title. The winner of this match was also scheduled to defend the title against number one contender Stephanie Vaquer at WWE Clash in Paris.

However, WWE says tonight’s match is off, as Naomi is not medically cleared to compete.

“BREAKING NEWS: Naomi is not medically cleared to compete and therefore her scheduled match against Iyo Sky will not take place tonight on Monday Night Raw,” WWE announced on Twitter/X. “Tune into tonight for continuing coverage on this developing story.”

WWE did not offer any other details about Naomi’s status at press time.

Monday’s match would have been IYO SKY’s first opportunity to challenge Naomi in a singles match for the title. She also competed in a triple threat match (along with Rhea Ripley) on night two of SummerSlam. However, she was unsuccessful in her bid to dethrone Naomi.

Naomi has not commented on her status, and has been absent from social media for a few days. Her last post on Twitter/X was a video of her jokingly blaming Jacob Fatu for his “all gas no brakes” mantra after crashing her suitcase scooter backstage.

This week’s episode of RAW takes place in Quebec City, Quebec, Canada. The show is also scheduled to feature a match between Women’s Intercontinental Champion Becky Lynch and Maxxine Dupri.
