21 Casting on YouTube has released David Corenswet’s audition tape for James Gunn’s “Superman” online.
The tape sees the 6’4 actor in regular streetwear before getting into a Clark Kent style suit and doing some of the long interview scene from the film with the actor’s wife, Julia Best Warner, reading Lois Lane’s dialogue.
As the audition tape uses an early version of the scene, the dialogue is different. It ends with Clark getting ready to leave as Lois gives him the ‘silent treatment’.
Additionally, a new behind-the-scenes featurette from the film has been released, with the clip focusing on the three Justice Gang characters in the movie along with Metamorpho.
It follows on from comments earlier this week in which Gunn appeared on The Viall Files podcast and indicated he has plans for several movies involving Corenswet’s Superman: “I am like thinking ‘what is the long-term story I’m telling here? What is the story that I’m gonna tell about Superman over four movies?’” Gunn said.
It’s presumed that “Supergirl” is the second film on that list while Gunn’s next directorial effort, dubbed a film part of the “Superman saga,” is the third. “Superman” is out on digital now.
