Not long after finalizing his divorce from Demi Moore in 2000, Bruce Willis turned to Diane Sawyer to be his matchmaker, according to newly released behind-the-scenes footage from a 2001 interview on Good Morning America.
“Can’t you find me a girl? Can’t you find someone for me?” the A-lister, 70, asks Sawyer as they wait for the crew to set up in a clip released by GMA on Monday, August 26.
“You must meet so many people. Think about it,” the Die Hard star, who split from Moore, 62, in 1999 after 12 years of marriage, tells a skeptical Sawyer.

In the end, Willis didn’t need Sawyer’s help. He eventually fell for Emma Heming, 49, in 2007, telling People years later that he was “already in love with her” from the moment they met.
The pair married two years later, and welcomed daughters Mabel, 13, and Evelyn, 11.

Willis also remained close with his ex, and mother of daughters Rumer, 37, Scout, 34, and Tallulah, 31.
Heming, Moore and Willis’ daughters have all leaned on each other since the beloved actor was diagnosed with frontotemporal dementia in 2023.
“We will always be a family,” Moore told Variety earlier this year.
