Jones, 31, is undoubtedly among the top defensive tackles of his era, earning six Pro Bowl nods and three All-Pro selections, while also winning three Super Bowls over nine NFL seasons.
His 80.5 sacks in 138 career regular-season games are already the fourth-most in Chiefs history behind only Derrick Thomas, Tamba Hali and Neil Smith. A double-digit sack season in 2025 will move him into second.
Jones had back-to-back seasons of 10 or more sacks in 2022 and 2023, including a career-high-matching 15.5 in 2022, which resulted in him finishing third in NFL Defensive Player of the Year voting.
Although Jones’ sack production dipped to five in 15 games last season, he still recorded 37 tackles, nine tackles for loss and 20 quarterback hits despite often facing double teams.
Jones’ presence is unquestionably among the top reasons why the Chiefs had the No. 4 scoring defense in the NFL last season and reached the Super Bowl for a third consecutive year.
The 30-year-old Watt has been a feared pass-rusher throughout his eight-year NFL career, earning seven Pro Bowl selections, four First Team All-Pro choices and the 2021 NFL Defensive Player of the Year Award.
He has reached the double-digit-sack mark in six of the past seven campaigns, including last season when he finished with 11.5.
That gave Watt 108 sacks for his career, which is the most in the illustrious history of the Steelers.
Although the 11.5 sacks Watt had last season were a far cry from the 19 he had in 2023 or the NFL record-tying 22.5 he had in 2021, he led the league with six forced fumbles.
Thanks in part to his disruptive capabilities, Watt was rewarded with a three-year, $123 million contract extension this offseason.
Friday marked the final day of the daily reveals that took place on X throughout the summer, as the top 10 players in the NFL Top 100 will be announced as part of an NFL Network special Monday night at 8 p.m. ET.
