CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCSC) – The Commercial Investment Division of the Charleston Trident Association of Realtors held a commercial real estate industry event in Charleston on Thursday.
This event brought industry professionals together to discuss the future of commercial real estate in the area.
Commercial real estate includes hotels, retail stores, warehouses and other properties that generate business.
The purpose of an event like this was to showcase to the more than 500 people in attendance what is happening now and what is projected to happen in the near future.
Joseph Tecklenburg, President of the Commercial Investment Division, says there has been a lot of turbulence in the industry.
“In terms of Charleston and the Charleston market, it’s very vibrant. We have a very well-diversified economy with our port, and we’re going to have a representative from the Ports Authority here today. And our hospitality business and our manufacturers like Boeing, Mercedes and Volvo. So we’re very well diversified in a very resilient economy, and the future’s bright,” Tecklenburg said.
Tecklenburg says Charleston is one of the biggest commercial real estate industries in the state.
