MASON, Ohio (WKRC) – The Phantom Theater will return to Kings Island next year.
It will be located at the original Phantom Theater site which was most recently Boo Blasters on Boo Hill.
Phantom Theater: Opening Nightmare will have modern technology, enhanced scenic elements and expanded storytelling, according to Kings Island.
As part of the ride, guests will ride in “enchanted opera boxes” as part of head usher No Legs Larry’s team. They’ll come across animatronics from Houdelini and The Great Garbanzo to Hilda Bovine and Lionel Burymore. Kings Island promises hidden Easter eggs throughout.
“Families who have visited Kings Island will remember how special the original Phantom Theater was, and they’ve always wanted it to return,” said Tony Carovillano, park manager of Kings Island. “While paying homage to the original ride, Phantom Theater: Opening Nightmare’s modern and advanced features will help create new memories and stories for all who take their seat inside this amazing experience.”
The original Phantom Nightmare was at the park from 1992 – 2002.
Fans of Boo Blasters have until Monday to ride it.
