Mariah The Scientist has achieved her first chart-topping album on Billboard with Hearts Sold Separately
The singer-songwriter’s fourth album opens at No. 1 on the Top R&B Albums chart dated Sept. 6.
According to Hits Daily Double, Hearts Sold Separately — released Aug. 22 via Epic Records — sold 36,855 equivalent units in its first week, with 32,737 coming from streaming activity.
Elsewhere on Billboard, Hearts Sold Separately places at No. 3 on Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums, No. 8 on Top Streaming Albums, No. 11 on Billboard 200, No. 15 on Vinyl Albums and No. 24 on Top Current Album Sales.
Among the album’s new tracks, “Sacrifice” makes a mark on the Hot 100 at No. 88, becoming her second solo appearance on the popular singles chart and her fifth entry overall.
This week, “Is It A Crime” with Kali Uchis moves up to No. 59 in its third week on the chart, while the lead single “Burning Blue” is No. 29 in its 17th week. The RIAA gold-certified hit previously debuted and peaked at No. 25.
Hearts Sold Separately, executive produced by Nineteen85, follows Mariah’s 2023 album, To Be Eaten Alive. The latter project debuted and peaked at No. 14 on the Top R&B Albums chart.
Mariah The Scientist is set to perform at the 2025 Global Citizen Festival in New York City on Sept. 27. The star-studded lineup also includes The Weeknd, Shakira, Tyla, Ayra Starr, and Camilo.
