They didn’t slow down on Tuesday night in Kansas City. They bludgeoned the Royals early in a 12-5 victory.
It marked 10 wins in a row for the Mariners.
Remarkably, since a Seattle fan paid an Etsy witch to put a positive spell on the Mariners, they haven’t lost.
Coincidence?
Probably.
Awesome?
Yes.

And with the win, the Mariners’ magic number to clinch a postseason berth dropped to 8.
There’s still work to do. Seattle is clinging to a narrow lead in the AL West over the Houston Astros. And the Cleveland Guardians are hot and chasing after that final Wild Card spot, so they could be a problem, too, if the Mariners were to get cold.

But right now, Seattle has forgotten how to lose.
And there’s a very easy way to get into the playoffs from here. If the Mariners’ win streak never stops, they’ll be in the postseason for sure.
