Alex Murdaugh admits to lying to police, denies killing wife and son
Alex Murdaugh, charged with the deaths of his wife and son in South Carolina, admitted to lying to police but denied a role in the deaths.

There have been documentaries, specials, and countless interviews on the 2021 Murdaugh case that rocked low-country South Carolina, and now a dramatized, limited series about the family is set to debut.
The show, “Murdaugh: Death in the Family,” stars Jason Clarke, Patricia Arquette, as well as Johnny Berchtold, Will Harrison, with appearances from Brittany Snow and J. Smith-Cameron.
Produced by UCP, the dramatized, eight-episode limited series will give viewers a look into the life Alex Murdaugh built with his wife Maggie, his sons Buster and Paul, and how their actions changed how other community members looked at the once prestigious family before Paul and Maggie’s murders.
The show was inspired by a 93-part podcast called “Murdaugh Murders Podcast” often hailed as one of the best podcasts about the case, and stars executive producers Patricia Arquette and Jason Clarke.
Here’s what to know about when to watch “Murdaugh: Death in the Family,” where to check it out, and who’s playing who.
When does ‘Murdaugh: Death in the Family’ premiere?
The eight part series premieres at 12 a.m. ET on Wednesday, Oct. 15, Hulu confirmed to USA TODAY.
The first three episodes will be available on Oct. 15. After that, one episode will be released weekly. Each episode should run for about 50 minutes to an hour, Hulu told USA TODAY this week.

Episodes will be available to stream on Hulu and on Disney+ for those with bundle subscriptions.
