Ex-Badgers guard Brad Davison on HS teammate Isaac Collins
Before Brad Davison was a star for the Badgers basketball team, he shared a football field with Isaac Collins, a Milwaukee Brewers breakout in 2025.
Manager Pat Murphy is supporting the 2025 Milwaukee Brewers out of his own pocket.
The club announced Aug. 8 that they’d now be selling “Murph’s Pocket Pancakes” on Sunday home games, starting Aug. 10. Fans can stop by chicken stands down the third and first-base line to find the … uh, delectable? … treats.
The new product is a reference to Murphy’s now-famous in-game nterview Aug. 1 in Washington, when he revealed on the AppleTV+ broadcast that he often carries food in his pockets during games, including (but not limited to) pancakes. We’re still a little more disturbed that he said he’s been known to produce a pizza slice or two from his attire.
The Brewers haven’t lost since, going 6-0 in August.
“These warm, fluffy pancakes were created to be enjoyed on the go, perfect for game day snacking,” the Brewers said in a release.
Your appetite may vary.
The Ball Four Pocket Pack includes four pocket pancakes and a choice of maple syrup or strawberry compote dipping sauce for $4.99. The Double Chicken n’ Pancakes Pocket Pack, which includes two chicken tender-stuffed pancakes and topped with chopped bacon or a drizzle of maple syrup? That goes for $7.99.
What are the odds Murphy will bring his own strawberry compote next time?
The bite-sized pancakes were crafted by chef Joe Muench of Blackshoe Hospitality and chef Alex Beronja of Delaware North. They’re available in the First Base Ward and Third Base Ward Chicken Stand.
